about

Recorded & Produced by genius Dan Brodbeck
Mastered by genius George Graves @ Lacquer Channel

Written by: Boris Novosel & Gord Prior
Arrangement: Gord Prior

Rob MacEachern: Live touring drummer extraordinaire - in picture far left
Jeff (Stan) Fountain:Bass
Cory Thompson (aka Corey Cameron): Drums ( on recording)
Boris Novosel: Guitars
Gord Prior: Lyrics & Vocals

This song was tracked to analogue tape live off the floor in London, Ont. live by the 3 principle musicians: drums - Cory Thompson, bass - Jeff Fountain & guitar - Boris Novosel. It was arranged the morning of the recording by the singer Gord Prior with the major parts (chorus/verse) already conceived by Boris & Gord in the weeks before. This was the first time this group had met and they recorded this within hours. The pounding rhythm section of Stan & Cory is evident and makes this track have huge balls & dynamics. Boris's guitar is haunting and subtle with tones being pushed to the limit while Gord channels inner demons and ad-libs his way through a vigorous and exhausting vocal exorcism. During the writing and recording process of this song, there was a sense between Boris & Gord that they were pushing themselves and passing new boundaries both musically, emotionally, and arrangement-wise. Producer Dan Brodbeck shared the same vision and took this beyond, well ahead of it's time production-wise in many ways. The end result is profound. MOM

lyrics

Watcha got for me today? What's inside your little head? Just a taste of what's to come, My skinny little friend...
I'm waiting here for you, Are you waiting there for me? I'd really like to go and talk about...

Hello Sunshine, I've been waiting, It's been so long, How's your day been?
Kiss your worries goodbye, goodbye, goodbye...

Oh Mommy! What you said to me, What you did to me!
